On May 24, 2017, the Rotaract Club Magdeburg visited us at the Orthopedic University Hospital and the Experimental Orthopedics. There, Prof. Dr. med. Christoph H. Lohmann explained the conditions and processes in a highly modern and successful clinic with almost 100 patient beds and 25,000 outpatient treatments per year. Following the tour of the clinic, Dr.-Ing. Joachim Döring was able to explain some current research focuses in the laboratories of experimental orthopedics, before PD Dr. med. Christian Stärke used an artificial training knee to explain the challenges of knee arthroscopy at the end of the tour.
